The second iteration of Aesop University Village in Seattle takes inspiration from the city’s unique meteorology: its generous precipitations, and the pavements on which they land.
‘Big snow’—the local name for the heavy falls that blanket the city in winter—is evoked throughout the space, via such elements as the cool shade of blue on the walls and ceiling, and the soft white curves of the large central basin. The same snowy hue coats the floors and product display units—along with an abundance of greenery, it creates the impression of a wintry yet enveloping garden.
