The Aesop Queer Library

LGBTQIA2S+ voices, amplified

Founded on a belief in the transformative power of queer storytelling, the Aesop Queer Library returns to select stores across the US and Canada. The ephemeral installation offers complimentary books by LGBTQIA2S+ authors and allies, no purchase required.

In other words—language as liberation

This year, the Aesop Queer Library celebrates the vibrant vocabularies crafted by LGBTQIA2S+ communities, and showcases the power of language as both a shelter and a declaration of defiance. We are supporting once again the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation—an organization instrumental in fighting censorship and advocating for freedom of speech and expression.

Thank you for your support of the 2025 Edition of Aesop’s Queer Library. We are truly humbled and grateful for the enthusiasm, energy, and warmth of our community, who have come together to celebrate with us across New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto.

While our Queer Library branches have circulated all print titles available, we welcome you to preview the audiobook selection by enjoying our audio listening booth in-store featuring a poem narrated by Ocean Vuong from his New York Times best-selling poetry collection, Time is a Mother. We also invite you to view our full list of titles on our website, curated in collaboration with Penguin Random House.
