Aesop Flinders Lane has seen two incarnations; its current interior is the result of a distinctive 2015 restoration by our in-house Design Department.

Giving fresh interpretation to the space while acknowledging its original materiality, the design features prominent use of industrial cardboard. A bold feature wall created from 1,550 cardboard sheets, modified by hand, envelops the right-hand wall—its curvature gently encouraging exploration. Intended to soften, wear and evolve with age, this striking fixture reflects the connection between built forms and their occupants. In complement, a darker palette marks the rest of the interior, via use of concrete, lacquered Oak and blackened steel.
