The art of baking is a pathway to gain skills, confidence, independence, and inclusion. Through hands-on training in professional kitchens, their students are equipped with real-world job skills, social-emotional learning (SEL), and STEAM-based education, helping them gain access to meaningful employment and community engagement. By creating spaces where neurodivergent individuals—especially those from BIPOC and working-class backgrounds—can thrive, Kindred helps prove that inclusion benefits everyone, towards a future where diverse talents are valued, workplaces reflect true accessibility, and opportunity isn’t limited by disability or background.

World Central Kitchen is one of the first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. WCK’s Relief Team is currently in Southern California, distributing free hot meals to support first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area, with over 1 million meals served to date. 

Jyan Isaac Bread offers an array of naturally leavened and enriched breads and viennoiseries, all freshly made at their bakery commissary in Culver City. Alongside their Santa Monica location, their bread is also frequently found at farmers markets, grocers and restaurants throughout the Los Angeles area.
