A monumental stone basin becomes the heart of the store, where customers are invited to explore our full range of formulations for the skin, body, hair and home. Paying tribute to the details of Portuguese architecture, the same stone radiates from the central volume to cover the floor and skirting, continuing up the wall to form an articulated threshold leading to the back of house. The warm grey stone was sourced from Yunfu, China, and echoes that which is commonly seen on the streets of Macau. Wrapping the room, olive green cabinetry houses amber bottles—their alabaster labels standing out as an abstract graphic motif. The innermost nook is devoted to our unconventional fragrances: curious noses are welcome to venture into unfamiliar olfactory territories and discern their preferences. Almost hidden from view, an individual basin allows for more intimate discussions with consummate consultants. A vintage mirror was carefully selected and placed, reflecting the store’s understated sophistication. Venetian paint on the ceiling was embellished with classical flair, complementing the cove lighting to produce a serene, welcoming atmosphere.
