Our inaugural Chicago space was created in partnership with Norman Kelley architecture. Its interior was inspired by close observation of architectural grids; most specifically, the innovative and textural grid of inner Chicago.
Various grids are masked and revealed throughout the interior. Flooring and walls feature distinctive herringbone and pinwheel brick bond patterns, all of reclaimed Chicago Common Brick—a material historically reserved for alley facades, and noted for its economy. Product display shelves are clad in steel, referencing the industrial history of Chicago’s Western neighbourhoods.
