Its updated interior—devised by Aesop’s in-house design team—sees coarse textures respond to smooth curves in an interplay between the archaic and the futuristic. Local sandstone lends gravity to the entrance and counter, while luminous and buoyant fixtures evoke an encompassing calm.
Once inside, curious noses can embark on olfactory voyages at a discreetly recessed Fragrance Library that encloses our range of unconventional Eaux de Parfum—the refurbishment’s pièce de résistance. Regimented stainless-steel basins occupy the centre of the store, allowing the soft glow of the backlit shelves to bounce around the room, while plaster walls echo the sense of warmth with a rough texture akin to that of sun-soaked stone. A generously proportioned seat in burnt ochre gives space and time for guests to dwell in the quiet ambiance.
