November marks the return of the Singapore International Film Festival, an annual highlight of the region’s cultural calendar. First held in 1987, SGIFF is renowned for its focus on South-East Asian cinema and Asian filmmakers, and attracts a diverse audience of cinephiles across its two-week duration.

This year’s extensive programme features a spotlight on Filipino film. Among the highlights of this section is Nervous Translation, an acclaimed feature by Shireen Seno; Season of the Devil (Ang Panahon Ng Halimaw), the latest work by celebrated filmmaker Lav Diaz; and animated short film Please Stop Talking (Wag Mo ’Kong Kausapin), directed by Josef Gacutan.

In the tradition of previous years, guests can expect a vibrant and compelling selection of screenings, including moonlight cinema sessions, complemented by a range of panel discussions, in-conversation events and masterclasses.

It is a profound pleasure to support the Singapore International Film Festival in 2018. To browse the programme at leisure, we encourage you to visit the festival website.
