In 2018, Art Busan returns to Korea for its seventh iteration from April 20 to 22, taking place at BEXCO Exhibition Center. The art fair, which celebrates contemporary art on a domestic and international scale, has quickly become a highlight of the Busan cultural calendar for artists, collectors and enthusiasts alike.
This year’s fair will host more than 100 local establishments, including Kukje Gallery, Gallery Hyundai and Leeahn Gallery, in addition to various international galleries—Tomio Koyama Gallery (Japan), Pearl Lam Galleries (Hong Kong, Shanghai and Singapore) and The Drawing Room (Philippines), to name but a few.
Art Busan is also notable for its focus on emerging curatorial practice, with younger galleries such as Gallery TOAST, Studio Concrete and Gallery EM offering a glimpse of the local art landscape’s scintillating future.
Alongside exhibitions and viewings, the vibrant programme involves a series of lectures, artist talks and guided tours. The group exhibition ‘ART ACCENT’, featuring artists from Busan and the Gyeongnam region, is sure to be a particular highlight.
It is our profound pleasure to support Art Busan in 2018. If in the area, we encourage you to explore the fair at your leisure. For further detail on participating artists and galleries, you may wish to browse the Art Busan website.
