Created in collaboration with esteemed architectural firm Johnston Marklee, Aesop Santa Monica Place in Los Angeles is our first build from the ground up, and features a design inspired by the pure geometry of 1960s Minimalism.
Defined by a seamless curving façade, the muted exterior is punctuated by an outsized entrance. The interior is distinguished by perimeter walls lined in a continuous wainscot. White Oak panelling accentuates product display on shelving above, contrasting with predominantly spare surrounds.
Alabaster walls set above the wainscot’s datum line, washed in a ribbon of natural light, give further emphasis to the meticulously ordered range.
A monolithic stainless steel volume takes centre place; two basins at either end allow for extended consultations. An offset circular recess in the ceiling continues the design’s clean, simple lines.
