Taking inspiration from the sugar refinery that once stood adjacent to the Lalaport shopping mall, this enveloping store—imagined by Aesop’s in-house Design team— blends industrial influences with organic lines and walls rendered in a recycled sugarcane plaster.

An external vitrine invites visitors into the space, displaying a selection of Aesop formulations set below a custom linear lamp, crafted from age-rusted steel. Within, elements such as an orthogonal cantilevered basin and grids of matte brown tiles nod to the architecture of 1930s Taiwanese factories.
These utilitarian touches are balanced by reclaimed timber accents and by the textured surface of the sugarcane plaster used throughout the space, applied in both rough and smoother finishes.
A Fragrance Library is ensconced at the rear of the store, displaying Aesop’s range of characterful Eaux de Parfum. Beside the entrance, a basin of domestic proportions sits below a warmly lit bathroom cabinet, offering an intimate nook for customers to experience skin, hair and body care formulations first-hand—and discuss those best suited to their individual needs with the store's trained consultants.
