Aesop Highpoint interior

Inspired by the area’s Moderne-style factories

Created by our in-house Design Department, Aesop Highpoint references the area’s industrial history, employing the materiality and sober linear forms of factory workspaces. The design draws inspiration from Moderne-style factories that operated in the area during the early twentieth century.

The shelving units that stretch the length of the interior take their cues from the Victorian-era meat-safe. Mirroring the timber and woven mesh of the shelves are sturdy timber and metal workbenches, subtly redolent of production lines.

This utilitarianism is balanced by a natural palette, with the earthy hues of recycled Tallowood flooring, shelving and joinery offset by the coolness of metal.

‘Where the tall brown city buildings loom against a cloud-flecked sky.’
