2018 marks the tenth anniversary of the esteemed Kuala Lumpur International Photoawards, which honours outstanding contemporary portrait photography from around the world.
To celebrate the occasion, the KLPA has chosen to highlight narrative works and storytelling within the portrait genre. This year, the prize accepted submissions in two categories—an open section for a single image, and a ‘photo story’ category. With no restrictions on theme, and an emphasis on works that challenge conventions and provoke discussion, the award is open to emerging and established practitioners alike.
It is our profound pleasure to support the KLPA in 2018, and to offer our warmest congratulations to the winners—and, of course, the thirty-eight finalists, whose work will be displayed at Publika’s White Box exhibition space until Monday 17 September.
