The first room appears as a factory hall, with lacquered wall panels that create a luminous, curved contour. Around the perimeter, prefabricated modular shelves made from extruded aluminum are repeated in functional formation. A communal basin provides a focal point for explorations of Aesop’s range of formulations for the skin, hair, body and home—its structure speaking the same language of assembled metal profiles. The second chamber sets a more intimate mood, with a dramatically dropped and back-lit ceiling. Here, an individual basin of coiled steel wire accommodates in-depth consultations and allows visitors to apply products directly onto their face, as if they were at home. Soft lighting from a trio of vintage wall lamps and the inviting expanse of a gently cranked modular couch encourage patrons to slow down and immerse themselves in the world of Aesop’s nonconformist Eaux de Parfum.
