Bildrausch Filmfest Basel

  • Wednesday 30 May – Sunday 3 June
  • Basel, Switzerland

Established in 2011, Bildrausch Filmfest has quickly cemented its reputation as a truly unique festival honouring the art of cinema. Its vibrant, thought-provoking programme celebrates experimental and provocative filmmaking; and its intimate nature softens the boundaries between artists, festival guests and attendees.
It is a pleasure to offer our valued clients a select number of double passes to either a film or an in-conversation event with Austrian Ruth Beckermann, allowing audience members to gain an insight into the acclaimed documentary-maker’s life and work. To vie for a pass, please respond via the RSVP button above by Friday 25 May, including your name, adress and preferred film screening or discussion event.
Kindly note that as passes are limited in quantity, they will be allocated to those who respond most promptly; successful respondents only will be notified via email.
Among this year’s scheduled screenings and the much-anticipated Cutting Edge section—a highly selective international competition comprising twelve films—is a special tribute to director, screenwriter and critic Paul Schrader, whose illustrious career spans four decades and several Martin Scorsese screenplays. A second section pays homage to Ruth Beckermann, whose filmmaking interrogates themes of memory, time and identity.
