For much of the year, the Headlands Center for the Arts reserves its pastoral serenity for those artists who create works there. A residency for multidisciplinary artists, Headlands provides an unparalleled environment for the creative process, aiding in the pursuit of new themes. The center maintains several public programs to showcase the works, including a seasonal dinner and exhibitions.
This August, Headlands will host their seasonal Members Dinner, an evening for guests to experience Headlands through the lens of their artists. Among the current artists in residence, you will savor a fresh, family-style meal prepared by Chef Damon Little in the historic, artist-renovated Mess Hall, before enjoying intimate studio visits and readings. The two artists who will be featured are Hongtao Zhou, an interdisciplinary artist who works in design, architecture, and sculpture, and Alexandra Kleeman, a novelist working in ecological writing and experimental fiction.
It is a pleasure support Headlands as they invest in vital arts research and community dialogue. In an effort to extend our appreciation outward, you are kindly invited to vie for a seat at the Members Dinner, to be held on Wednesday, August 7, in the company of the current artists in residence. Kindly express your interest in the column on the left as soon as possible, as seats are strictly limited.
