Aesop Richmond occupies a Georgian house situated near Richmond Park, Kew Gardens and the River Thames. In keeping with its heritage, the interior was stripped back and restored by our in-house Design Department to emphasise a sense of hospitable calm.
Raw floorboards, minimal furnishings, a soft palette and ample natural light effect pleasing quietude. A sunken living room and Georgian fireplace remain undisturbed; together they kindle intimacy and allude to the building’s residential origins. Most recently, the site was home to a children’s bookstore—a fitting predecessor, given our love of the written word.
Ascending a wooden staircase reveals yet more character-filled rooms: dining quarters that play host to an ongoing series of dinners; and a spacious treatment space.
