Aesop Shinsaibashi

Aesop Shinsaibashi, our first signature store in Ōsaka, was designed in partnership with the SIMPLICITY team under the leadership of Shinichiro Ogata. Situated in the animated Shinsaibashi area, the space embodies a refined industrial aesthetic that pays homage to a time when the neighbourhood housed an important timber yard and its streets were lined with storehouses. High ceilings are dressed with latticed weathered-timber shelves, which are accented with elements of blackened steel. Chosen for its local historical significance, this material references the iron bridge that once tethered the north and south districts of Chūō-ku ward.
