A bold new triumvirate of works from Konzert Theater Bern premieres at the Stadttheater on Saturday 28 October. The Bern Symphony Orchestra joins the dancecompagnie Konzerttheater Bern for a contemporary take on some of the Ballet Russes’ most iconic works.
Dutch-Israeli choreography duo Ivgi & Greben re-imagine Igor Stravinsky’s Le Sacre du Printemps, which caused an uproar upon its debut performance in 1913. Belgium’s acclaimed Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui turns his hand to Claude Debussy’s Prélude à l'après-midi d'un faun. To conclude the evening, Etienne Béchard interprets Maurice Ravel’s Boléro for a present-day audience.
