Our Albert Coates Lane store relocated in June 2017 to spacious new quarters in one of Melbourne’s central retail precincts. Created by our in-house Design Department and Kian Yam from MLKK Studio, the design for this welcoming space is at once serious and playful. The interior effects a sense of calm and poise through an assembly of imaginary metal ‘creatures’—which furnish product display and storage—each with its own quirks, character and irregularities, which are revealed gradually as visitors make their way through. Their subtle postures contrast with the order and sturdiness of a timber, leather and concrete backdrop.
