Are Aesop products organic?
The Aesop product range is not exclusively organic, and rather is formulated from a combination of gentle, high-quality botanical and synthetic ingredients. However, no Aesop product contains colourants, artificial fragrances, mineral oils, silicones, animal derivatives or pearlising agents.
Do Aesop products contain animal by-products?
Aesop does not use animal-derived ingredients or animal-produced ingredients (such as beeswax or honey) in our formulations at this time. None of our finished products have ever been tested on animals. We do however use badger bristles in our Shaving Brushes as there is no satisfactory synthetic substitute for this use.
All new products are tested for safety during our product development process using cumulative irritancy testing on human volunteers. Before our products are released to the public, formulations are also assessed for safety by a qualified external agency, either a chemist or toxicologist. These agencies do not test on animals.

Is it safe to use Aesop products during pregnancy?
For some women, products with high levels of botanical ingredients may not be the most comfortable choice during pregnancy. Aesop is committed to providing accurate information, and to our knowledge there is no risk associated with using any Aesop formulation in the manner we prescribe during pregnancy; however this information is not intended to replace advice from your qualified medical practitioner. We recommend that you speak with your obstetrician or dermatologist should you have any concerns regarding your particular circumstances.

Is GST included in the price of my purchase?
All prices appearing on the website are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of GST. GST is included for all Australian orders.
Where the order is to be delivered to New Zealand address, the amount of GST will be deducted from the price of each product ordered. You will be able to see the total cost of your order, without GST, once you have selected a New Zealand delivery address.
In certain circumstances, deliveries to New Zealand will be liable to incur customs charges. Please refer to www.customs.govt.nz for further information.
What are your shipping rates?
For deliveries within Australia, shipping is free for any purchase of AUD150.00 or greater. A shipping fee of AUD9.00 is applied for any purchase less than AUD150.00.
For deliveries to New Zealand, the shipping fee is AUD9.00 to any purchase of AUD180.00 or greater. A shipping fee of AUD19.00 is applied to any purchase of less than AUD180.00.
Will I need to sign for the delivery?
All Australian orders will be delivered by courier post, and will therefore require a signature upon receipt. Please provide an address where someone will be available to sign for the delivery.
All New Zealand orders will be delivered by Australian Post and do not require a signature.
When can I expect to receive my order?
Australian orders can usually be expected to be delivered within four working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). For deliveries to New Zealand, please allow seven working days.

What does the recruitment process involve?
Due to our unique and creative workplace culture, Aesop places a strong emphasis on the recruitment process, to ensure that each vacancy is filled with the most suitable applicant.
We will endeavour to respond to you within a few weeks of receiving your application, and you may at this time be contacted by Aesop's Employee Development team for a phone interview. Does Aesop provide training for new employees?
Aesop provides a three-day product training course for all new employees, including Head Office employees, which is held in Melbourne on a monthly basis. International employees will be provided with on-the-job product training at your local Aesop store or counter.
During the product training, you will learn about the Aesop culture, values and the company's history. You will also receive extensive training in each of Aesop's skin, hair and body formulations, so you will be well versed and confident when you enter the retail spaces.
